Nonlinear dynamics: betatron phase space distortion due to the nonlinear forces. Methods of dealing with nonlinear perturbations. Multi-particle dynamics: microwave and coupled bunch instabilities. Physics of electron cooling and stochastic cooling. Advanced acceleration techniques: inverse free electron laser acceleration, wake field and two beam acceleration.
