IU won support for neutron research from the new DOE initiative: Quantum Horizons: QIS Research and Innovation for Nuclear Science. This award will help support the research activities of the IU physics entangled neutron group led by physics department professors David Baxter, Gerardo Ortiz, Roger Pynn, and Mike Snow. The title of the funded proposal is: "Development of Mode-Entangled Neutron Beams with Orbital Angular Momentum for Quantum Sensing."
