W. Michael Snow has been elected vice-chair of the American Physical Society Topical Group on Precision Measurements and Fundamental Constants. This group focuses on research related to investigating and testing the fundamental laws and constants of physics. Their objective is on developing and improving basic measurement standards, with special emphasis on the high precision experiments that are characteristic of such research. Prof. Snow will serve as vice-chair for one year and then become chair-elect for a second year and finally serve a year as chair of the group.
