-1.5”x 1.5”x 12” 8020 part 1010“beam”
-3 small L brackets8020 part 4176 10 series 3 hole inside corner bracket
-6 small nuts and bolts w/ flange
-3 small nuts and bolts w/o flange
-5-6 cable ties
1.)Adjust stand to the horizontal position.
2.)Pick one side of the top frame to work on.Slide a nut inside the top and bottom side channels of top box frame. No other bolts should be in the way to prevent an easy slide. Continue to slide each until they are near the center (around 30 cm) below mounted scintillator plates. There should be two nuts in each channel (4 total).
3.)Using two of the smaller L brackets, attach loosely on the 54” beam to opposite sides. These will attach to the frame.
4.)Slide the L brackets and attach to frame.Tighten when the bottom of the 54” beam is level with the bottom of the “cage,” and centered along the length of the scintillator.
5.)Attach the third L bracket to one end of the 12” beam, with one bolt side of the bracket.Attach to the top of the 54” beam at desired height, so that the beams overlap each other, (i.e. lay your two index fingers across each other it should look like that) not flush end against beam. This will allow the PMT and base and the corresponding cable a route without a beam getting in the way.
Procedure 2Attachment
of small scintillator (procedure has not been tested)
6.)Lay small scintillator(light guide) / PMT / base on top of the 12” beam and allow the scintillator material to extend past the end of the beam as needed.
7.)Zip tie loosely.
8.)Adjust for center across plate and zip tie the small s/ P/ b to 12” arm, then adjust the 54” extension for forward/ aft center above the scinillator part of large plate below.
