| C3-1 | Radiant Heat |
| Purpose: | To demonstrate the transmission of heat. Can also be used to demonstrate optics of spherical mirrors. |
| Description: | Two parabolic mirrors face each other . An electric heating coil is placed at the focus of one mirror, while a match is placed at the focus of the other. When the heater is turned on, the radiant energy is transmitted by the mirror system to the match, which will light. |
