| Purpose: | To demonstrate rotational energy. |
| Description: | A large yo-yo has strings winding on the two sides of its axle and the two strings are suspended on a rod. When the strings unwind from the axle, the gravitational potential energy converts to kinetic energy of rotation and a very little translational energy. When the yo-yo reaches the bottom, the string rewinds and the kinetic energy restores as potential energy. |
